The Stubb's Skytop

Looking at our Calendars, it was about the time to drop another shoe in the 413 series. We noticed SXSW was steadying approaching, so we partnered up with Spin Magazine and Stubb’s Bar-B-Q to present the Stubb’s Skytop. The Skytop takes its name from the one of the best places to eat and see live music when you are in Austin, and takes its looks from their world famous sauce. To coincide with this release, we have created a special edition to only be sold at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q this Friday in Austin, Texas.

This special edition includes a pair of Stubb’s Skytops, an apron, a bottle of Stubb’s sauce, all inside a hand made wooden box. This box, as well as the apron are both branded with a 2009 SXSW seal. There will be ONLY 50 boxes for sale this Friday from 10am-11am. Each box is also hand numbered.

An international release date for the regular edition of this Skytop is set for a couple weeks, with date and store info to follow

Pastor Troy Arrives With Feel Me Or Kill Me

After releasing many albums, Pastor Troy has shown no signs of stopping anytime soon. Instead he and SMC Recordings are planning the release of Feel Me or Kill Me, a new album by the Atlanta veteran.

Expect Troy behind the boards once again, as he is slated to produce on this album. Other producers on the LP include DJ Squeeky, Trackman, KP and others.

"This record is quintessential Troy. It's hardcore, chaotic and that's the Pastor Troy I love. We're just furthering what we did with Tool Musiq [click to read]," said Will Bronson, VP of A&R at SMC Recordings.

Fans of Troy will have to wait a few more weeks for the release. Feel Me or Kill Me, is slated to hit stores April 14, 2009.

Gucci Mane Released

Gucci Mane [click to read] has recently been released from jail. To celebrate, he unveiled a video in which he discusses a new mixtape, Writing on the Wall with DJ Holiday. The tape comes after his release from prison and marks a return for Gucci Mane's to the rap scene.

"I got a lot of love," Gucci said of his jail time and cell mates.

In his absence, fans have remained loyal and he says he is not surprised by the fact.

"I appreciate the love. I ain't really surprised about it. I work hard," he added.

In 2005, Gucci Mane was sentenced to complete 600 hours of unpaid work after he struck a concert promoter with a pool cue, a crime which he was found guilty of. In 2008, he was sentenced to jail because he only served 25 of those 600 hours [click to read]. He was released on Saturday, March 14, 2009.

Gucci still has two-and-a-half years of probation and another 600 hours of community service. His new mixtape, Writing on the Wall is coming soon.
